Cross-country pipeline laying refers to the installation of pipelines across open country — spanning agricultural land, forests, riverbeds, roads, and railways — typically for water transmission, irrigation, or industrial process fluid transport. Unlike urban pipeline projects, cross-country pipelines cover long distances (often 10 to 100+ km) and require specialized equipment including crawler cranes, side booms, and long-reach excavators.
